Module6 第3课时教学设计
一、教学内容
外研版小学英语五年级上册第六模块第3课时Unit2 Activities 1 — 3。
二、教学目标
1. 能理解really的用法并会用它造句。
2. 能掌握单词 played, jumped, swam的过去式形式是ran, played, jumped, swam.
三、教学重难点
重点:运用一般过去时态描述他人过去能做的事情。
难点:能够描述他人过去能做的事情并书写句子。
四、教学准备
1. 单词卡片(可从优教平台下载“Module6 Unit2单词卡片集”直接使用)。
2. 音频(可从优教平台下载使用)。
3. PPT课件。
五、教学设计
Step 1 Warm-up
1. Greetings.
2. Say the chant: What can you do?
Dog, dog, what can you do? I can run after you.
Panda, panda, what can you do? I can eat so much bamboo.
Mouse, mouse, what can you do? I can hide in the shoe.
Mike, Mike, what can you do? I can draw animals in the zoo.
【设计意图】平时问好可以消除同学们进入课堂的紧张感,一首简单的chant,让学生在快乐中学习的同时复习了旧句型,为下面的新知识学习作好铺垫。
Step 2 Presentation
1. T: Dog can run after us. Panda can eat so much bamboo. Mouse can hide in the shoe. Mike can draw animals in the zoo. But I can’t play basketball now, I played it very well when I was a student in the past.(in the past 在过去,多读几遍 played,让学生理解其含义)
【设计意图】由现在自然过渡到过去,引出in the past,让学生在听觉上感知新内容。
2. 听课件录音,学生尝试完成填空。
In the past, I (play) basketball very well.
I (swim) very fast when I was 9 years old.
In the past, my grandpa (run) very fast
In the past, my grandma (jump) really high.
3. 反复操练动词及过去式形式。
play—played swim—swam run—ran jump—jumped
walk—walked live—lived study—studied eat—ate
【设计意图】通过练习、操练动词的过去式形式,让学生在具体的语境中运用语言。
Step 3 Listen and read.
1. Now, let’s see Amy’s grandpa. What can he do in the past? (逐一呈现三张不同的图片:跑得快的、跳得高的、游泳快的,让学生回答并叫学生个人朗读。)
2. 再呈现Amy’s grandpa and grandma的合影,导出句子: He’s slow now, but healthy! (slow—slowly, He walks slowly, healthy, healthy body)。
3. Listen and follow the sentences, then answer the questions.
(1) Did Amy’s grandpa run fast?
(2) Did he jump high?
(3) Did he swim very fast in the past?
(4) Is he slow or healthy now?
4. 学生回答问题,并再次总结课文语句。
【设计意图】由前面的感知到具体的运用,学生已会描述某人过去能做的事情。通过问答、反复询问,巩固知识,也教授了Did he/she do sth in the past?及其回答。
Step 4 Practice
1. 出示图片,让学生两人一组说一说。
2. 生生问答:S1: Did your grandma jump high in the past? S2: Yes, she did …
S1: …
S2: …
3. Look and write. Then say.(完成 Activity 3)
(1)让学生看图片,完成句子书写。
(2)Check the answers.
4. Look, listen and say. (完成 Activity 1)
(1)Look at the pictures and say:
The black horse ran really fast.
The elephant played basketball really well.
(2)出示其他图片,学生发挥说英语的能力。
【设计意图】根据图片说句子,学生能无畏地陈述,然后再练习书写句子,锻炼学生的读写能力。由描述人物过去能做的事到描述动物在过去能做的事情,扩展了知识面。
Step 5 Consolidation and extension
1. Guessing game.
老师做动作,学生猜是什么,并说出句子。
2. Yes or No.
根据某些动物的习性,同桌间进行判断游戏。
如:
S1: Did the snake climb slowly when it was young?
Ss: Yes!
【设计意图】练习学生的反应能力,并让学生进一步掌握动物们的生活习性。
Step 6 Homework
1. 想想动词的过去式有哪些变化规则。
2. 问问父母以前擅长做哪些事。

Unit 2 He ran very fast.
In the past, he/jumped high/swam very fast/played basketball well/ran fast.
Did he/she + do sth. well?
Yes, he/she did. /No, he/she didn’t.
七、回顾总结
陈述他人过去做过的事情用:In the past, he/she did sth.如果句中有过去的时间,动词要用过去式形式。询问他人是否在过去做过某事用:Did he/she + do sth …? 回答用:Yes, he/she did. No, he/she didn’t.前面用了did,后面要还原。
