June 17, Sunday 周日上学 I often stay up late to go over my lessons for the college entrance examinations.  Last night I didn’t go to bed until 12 o’clock. When I woke up this morning, it was already 9 o’clock. I got dressed and washed myself quickly. Then I rushed into the living– room, where Mother was preparing breakfast. Before she could say anything, I got my schoolbag, ran out and got on my bike. I rode as fast as I could. It seemed only a few minutes before I got to the school gate. To my surprise, it was closed. It was then that I realized it was Sunday today.

My Unforgettable Experience
Last weekend I paid a visit to the Great Wall. I was amazed at seeing the world wonder and had a very good time there. I went home by taxi. After getting off the taxi, I suddenly remembered I had left my purse in it. I immediately telephoned the taxi company. Luckily the man on duty told me that one taxi driver had turned in a purse. After he checked the purse, he comforted me, saying it was mine. I went there and got my purse back and expressed my thanks.
I had an unforgettable experience that day.

Last week, my uncle Li Hua had dinner with his friends in a restaurant. They were so happy that they drank a lot of beer. They did not stop drinking until very late at night.  My uncle wanted to drive home. His friend advised him not to drive after drinking, but he wouldn’t listen. /but he did not take it seriously.  He insisted on driving back. While driving, he felt sleepy. We had some American exchange students in our school last week. As a host brother, I’d like to share some happy experiences with you.
Upon their arrival, we gave the American students a warm welcome, among whom a boy named Tim was to stay with my family for the weekend. When school was over, we took the subway home, where my parents had already prepared a rich family dinner for Tim.
