Module7 第1课时教学设计
一、教学内容
外研版小学英语五年级上册第七模块第1课时Unit1 Activities 1—2。
二、教学目标
1. 能够听、说、认、读Activity 1中的chant内容。
2. 能朗读、理解Activity 2,并根据课文情景表演。
三、教学重难点
重点:
1. 能听、说、读、写 TV show, useful, clever, cute, cool, blind, deaf, hear, firefighters 等单词。
2. 能理解句型 This man/girl is ... He /She can’t … This dog helps him/her.这类句子。
难点:
结合课文及生活实际谈谈动物对人类的帮助。
四、教学准备
1. 单词卡片(可从优教平台下载“Module7 Unit1单词卡片集”直接使用)。
2. 音频(可从优教平台下载使用)。
3. PPT课件。
五、教学设计
Step 1 Warm-up
1. Greetings.
2. Ask and answer.
教师向学生提问:What can you do? What can’t you do? 让学生进行自由回答。
T: Yes, all of you are good at something. Well, what can dogs do? Do you know?
3. Topic: Talk about dogs.
多媒体呈现一些狗的图片,让学生用Dogs can/can’t …说说狗的一些特征。
T: Wonderful! Dogs are clever! Dogs are cute! Dogs are useful! Dogs are cool! 教师重读 clever, cute, useful, cool,让学生理解其含义并板书。
【设计意图】师生问答意在对下文重点词语的提前操练,由谈论自己能做及不能做的事情自然导出狗在日常生活中会做某事这个话题,衔接自然贴切。
Step 2 Listen and chant. (完成课文活动1)
1. Listen and clap hands.
2. Listen and chant together.
Dogs are clever.
Dogs are cute.
They can help a lot.
Dogs are useful.
Dogs are cool.
They can do a lot.
3. Guess the meanings of words.
clever聪明的 You are clever.
cute可爱的 This girl is very cute.

a lot许多,大量 My friends help me a lot with my English.
【设计意图】对课文重点词语的学习,采用了语言导入、问题导入及交际性操练的方法。猜测词义可以使学生处于积极主动的状态,造句法也可以让学生准确模仿和掌握重点词语的用法。
Step 3 Presentation(完成课文活动2)
1. Listen to the tape and find out the new words.
(1) TV show电视节目
(2) presenter(电视或广播节目的)主持人
(3) blind失明的,瞎的
(4) deaf失聪的,聋的
(5) hear 听到
(6) fire火灾,失火
(7) firefighters (firefighter的复数)消防队员
(1) hot dog 热狗
(8) sausage 香肠
2. Read the new words and spell them,
3. Listen to the tape again, then follow.
4. Try to read the text together.
5. Answer the questions:
(1) Who likes dogs?
(2) Who helps the man? Why?
(3) Who helps the girl? Why?
(4) Who helped the firefighters last week? Why?
(5) Can Sam have a dog?
6. Practice the questions and act the text out.
7. Sum up the text
Dogs can help the blind, the deaf and the firefighters. They are very useful.
【设计意图】学生们在新学某一语言项目时,结合图片来设置情景,可以帮助学生加深对课文情节的理解。对于重点词汇、句型的听、说、读、写训练,教师首先使用了听音呈现整篇课文,找出新单词并操练,再听音跟读,根据文本内容回答问题,操练有针对性,最后表演课本情景及总结全文,层层递进,充分体现了 小学英语课文教学的特点:情景性—示范性—专题性—综合性。
Step 4 Consolidation and Extension
1. 献爱心活动。以4—6人小组为单位,让学生分角色扮演被帮助者、献爱心者和描述者。
2. Read and choose.

【设计意图】英语课具有工具课的特性。学习、理解了课文后,增加综合练习步骤,对于学生掌握知识、消化知识具有积极的意义。
