口诀(1) 一般过去时用法 动词一般过去时, 表示过去发生事。 事情发生在过去, 经常、反复或连续； 过去时态咋判断，过去时间作标志； be用was或用were，have，has变had； 一般动词加-ed，若是特殊得硬记； 否定句很简单，主语之后didn’t添； 疑问句也不难，did放在主语前； 谓语之前有did，谓语动词需还原； 动词若是was，were，否定就把not添。
口诀(2) 过去式的规则变化
“一改、二多、三少、四刚刚好”
一改：以y 结尾，把y变 i再加ed。 二多：重读闭音节，双写末尾辅音字母再加ed。
三少：以不发音e字母结尾的动词,可直接加上d。
四刚刚好：就是直接加上ed。
口诀(3) 过去式的不规则变化
1. 有些动词的过去式与动词原形同形：如：hit hurt let cost read cut put 记忆方法：击中,受伤,让,花费,读,砍,放。  2. 许多动词只要将原形中的元音字母i改为a，就可变为过去式：如：
