本单元主要学习用have/has表示物品所属关系的基本句型。语法表格呈现了have不同人称的疑问句及其答语。左栏是疑问句,右栏是答语。答语不仅呈现了简略形式,还呈现了否定答语的完全形式,其目的是呈现主语第三人陈单数后用has,而不是have。 便于学生对比。
3a–3c为不同层次的语法练习。
3a要求学生把人称代词归类,分别与助动词do, does搭配。
3b要求学生在特定的情境中,正确运用助动词do,does。
3c让学生通过谈论Bob的房间来运用本单元的目标语言结构。

问题1:是否需要详细讲解教材中出现的语法现象?

讨论:
Go for it教材对语法的处理:
Go for it教材一般不简单罗列或讲解语法结构和规则,而是引导学生通过观察、归纳、对比、总结等方法发现语法规则,培养语法意识,并给学生提供运用语法的机会。
建议:
(1)准确把握各单元的重要语法项目。如果这些项目不是本单元的教学目标,则不需要重点学习;
(2)即使是重点语法项目,也不要详细和系统地讲解,也不要节外生枝地展开和提高。
(3)重点是培养语法意识,而不是记忆语法规则。
问题2:如何处理教材中的词汇?

建议:
(1)认真研读课程标准及教材,准确把握课程标准要求掌握的词汇。在教学中,不要盲目地把教材中出现的所有生词都当作重点词汇来处理;
(2)积极渗透词汇学习策略的培训。
罗淼中、奉友强(2005)为指导学生学习英语词汇提出了一些建议:
(1)在句子文章等语境中学习单词;
(2)运用英语概念理解英语单词,直接把单词和实物在大脑中建立键接;
(3)适当进行英汉词汇特点对比;
(4)掌握英语构词法;
(5)经常归类已学词汇,优化词汇系统;
(6)利用多种渠道,提高词汇学习的效率;
(7)注意比较近义词差别。
(8)积极参加词汇学习的各种活动,轻轻松松学习英语词汇。
问题3:教材中的教学步骤是否需要一步一步地完成?

讨论:
准确地说,不是步骤很多,而是活动和练习很多。有些活动和练习还有若干个步骤。显然,无论是从教材编写者的编写意图来看,还是从实际教学需要来看,教材提供的活动和练习以及教师用书建议的教学步骤都不需要不折不扣地完成。
建议:
(1)在认真研究教材的基础上,确定各单元的重点活动,并给重点活动安排足够的时间;合理安排其他活动的时间;
(2)根据可用的时间以及实际教学的需要,减少某些活动的具体步骤(give less weight);
(3)有些活动可以布置学生课后完成,并根据情况决定课堂上是否检查;
(4)有些活动可以干脆跳过。
问题4:教材容量大,而实际课时有限,怎么办?

讨论:
根据课程标准以及教育部关于教材编写的具体要求,教材所提供的内容要多于实际需要的内容,这样教材内容才具有灵活性和可选择性。也就是说,并非教材中的所有内容和活动都需要完成。特别是一些以训练听、说、读、写等技能为目的的活动,教材往往提供多种活动供教师和学生选择使用。
建议:
(1)在准确把握教学重点的基础上,大胆地对教材进行取舍;
(2)优化课堂教学,提高教学效果,力争杜绝低效的教学活动
问题5:怎样处理教材和其他课程资源的关系?

讨论:
要明确“其他课程资源”的含义。其他课程资源不是指同步训练和同步检测等教辅材料,而是指广播电视节目、录音录像、报刊杂志、图书资料、教具和实物、多媒体光盘、各种形式的网络资源等。
建议:
在完成教材的主要内容的前提下,积极使用其他课程资源。
