Step 1 Greeting and Revision
1. Greet the whole class as usual.
2. Let the students to read the adjectives in 2a. Make sure they understand the meaning of each word.
3. Ask students to write the comparative forms of the following adjectives. Then use them to write five sentences. Have several students to write their sentences on the blackboard.
1. Greet the teacher.
2. Read the words together.
3. Write the comparative forms of the following adjectives and then use them to make five sentences.

Review the comparatives.

Step2 Reading
1. The teacher reads the passage and the students should find out comparative words and phrases in the whole text.
2. Read the paragraphs one by one and find the important sentences. Explain the important and difficult sentences.
3. Get students to read the article again. Make sure every student can read the words and sentences fluently.
Listen to the teacher carefully and try to master the important words and phrases.

Step3 Practice2c-2e
1. After explaining the whole passage and finish 2c.
2. Ask students to think about how to compare with the people in the article and write five sentences.
3. If time permits, divide the class into several groups and ask each group to choose a title about which saying about friends is their favorite. Organize students to say their reasons and correct the mistakes.
Finish the activities 2c, 2d and 2e with partners and then correct the mistakes.
