教案
一、教学目标
熟练运用Where is/are…?问句和一般疑问句及其回答;
熟练运用in, on, under, behind, in front of, near等介词。
Enable the students to talk about where things are.
掌握名词单复数及人称代词they的用法。
要求学生用所学的语言来设计自己理想的房间,并绘制成图,进行交流。
二、教学内容
熟练运用Where问句和一般疑问句及其回答。
Where’s the notebook? It’s on the bed. Gina’s books are everywhere.
生词和短语radio, clock, tape, player, model, plane, tidy, but, our, everywhere, always, table, bed, dresser, bookcase, sofa, chair, drawer, plant, bag, alarm clock, CD, video, video cassette, hat.

方位介词的正确使用。
正确写便条。
能够准确运用方位介词描述物品所在的位置;能够运用Where问句找到物品的位置。

五、教学步骤
Lead in
Good morning, boys and girls. Shall we continue our lessons? Could you please tell me what we learnt in section A? Yes. We learnt to ask where the things are.
Step 1 Revision
Review some prepositions
I will show you some pictures, please answer my questions according to them.
Questions: Where is the baseball?
Where are the books?
Where is the schoolbag?
Is the pen on the table?
Are the keys under the sofa?
I would like some of you to ask the questions and others answer according to the pictures.

Let’s do some translation exercises, and please translate my sentences into English.

Look and remember
Look at the picture in 1a for three minutes and try to remember the things in it as many as possible.
Write
Write down the things you remember on your notebooks.
Write down the positions of the things you remember.
Read
Read the things and their positions you write on your notebooks.

Listen and circle
Let’s move to activity 2a now. It is a listening exercise. For the first time, I would like you to listen only.
Now, for the second time, please listen to it again and circle the words you hear in 2a.

Write the words you know for things in the picture.
Let’s go into activity 2a on page 23. First let’s read the note by yourselves. If you have any new words, please look them up in the word list or ask me for help.

I will give three minutes and draw your pictures.
I think some of you have finished the pictures. Who would like to describe your picture to us?

Show a picture of a room with a few things in it, give the students a short note about the things around the room to read, let the students try to find out the differences between the reading material and the picture. Circle the mistakes in the reading material. Make an orally report by looking at the picture again.

Open your books and look at 3a. If you know the words and the phrases well, please check them. Do you have any other words you don’t know? Please write them in your notebook.

Write about where the things are in your room. Use the word and if you can

Looking up the dictionary is also a good way to study English. I hope you can get more from dictionaries.

Please draw a picture according to what you read. Please show your picture to others.
Step 14 Summarize
Let’s summarize what we did in this period.

Review Unit 4.
