2. 教师展示本课动物图片：giraffe
3. 继续展示图片：两只长颈鹿，对比他们的大小
T: Look at that giraffe. It’s so tall. Look at the baby giraffe. It’s so short. 教师强调tall 和 short。
强调SO 的语调，并加以“大”的手势。
4. 出示熊和猴子图片，比较胖瘦，Look at that bear.
It’s fat. 引出单词fat.
Look at that monkey.
It’s thin. 教师领读学生跟读新单词。
5. 播放Let’s talk 部分的录音，学生听对话。
再次播放录音， 让学生跟读对话中的句子，模仿发音，要求自然生动。
（1）将课件中的声音关闭，为其中的人物配音。

7. 教师将Let’s learn 部分的单词卡举起，带读，学生以“开火车”的形式练习。如果可能，可以让学生拼读单词。如：t-a-l-l,tall, etc.
8. Let’s do 部分的内容。
a. 教师播放 Let’s do 部分的录音，学生边听边说边做此部分的活动。
b. 教师使用Let’s do 部分的动作图卡，让学生看图说图卡上画的是什么动物做的动作。
c. 学生再次听录音，鼓励学生说出指令内容，同时请几个学生上台前表演动作。

1．能够通过听例词发音，观察例词中共有的字母，知道字母i在单词中发音。2. 能够在之前练习的基础上根据给出几个独立的音试着拼出单词。
3. 能够在四线三格中正确书写单词，注意到字母间距。

教学重点
拼读四个单词pig,big,six,milk,练习书写四个简单单词。

教学难点
掌握字母i的拼读在单词中的发音及拼读规律。

4. 播放课文录音，让学生进一步熟悉字母i的发音并跟着录音拼读单词。
3. 引导学生观察这四个单词的拼写，思考并说出其包含的共同字母并且归纳出字母i的发音是短音/i/。
5. 以big为例，教师放慢速度并以夸张的口形读出单词big，引导学生思考big由多少音素组成，分别是什么音素，以同样的方法对pig, six, milk进行拆音训练。建议做拼音。
6. 教师利用动画呈现语音歌谣，学生在理解歌谣的基础上跟着录音唱，巩固i的短音发音/ i/.

1. 能够听、说、认读short, long, small, big等单词。注意告知学生它们是两对反义词，引导学生发现short的两重意义：“短”和“矮”。
2. 能够在语境中运用这些单词描述动物外形特点。如果有时间可以复习第一单元的he， she，从而拓展到人的外貌描述: He/She is tall. He/She has big eyes.
3. 能够在图片的帮助下听懂指令并做出相应的动作。
